Vision & Values

Working for a world as it should be...

At the heart of Worth Unlimited is a yearning for a world that's as it should be - a world in which all people thrive, the environment flourishes, diversity is celebrated and deprivation doesn't exist.  We know that this dream is shared by people all over the world and we believe that it can be achieved if we work together for the change we seek.

      Vision

Everyone has the potential to be a change-maker, but for many young people, precarious circumstances and significant obstacles result in that potential being squandered.  Our quest is to keep that from happening.

       Mission
As people who are committed to pursuing change, we have joined together as Worth Unlimited, a national community dedicated to inspiring hope together by:

Forging safe and meaningful connections

Young people have meaningful, trusting connections with significant, appropriate adults through:  Open access youth clubs and other safe places, actively building supportive relationships which communicate to young people that we value them, pastoral care, nurture and safeguarding & connecting young people with mentors

Expanding horizons

Young people believe that life is hopeful and dreams can be achieved through: Using fun, creative activities to help young people to discover their passions, abilities, identity & potential, trips for young people to experience new things & discover interests that they didn’t know they had. Making possibilities attainable by helping young people address barriers to their personal development.

Harnessing passions, gifts, skills and talents

Young people have a personal vision of what the world, at its best, would be like and engage in meaningful activity to pursue that vision through: Develop own vision and realise how they can contribute to that vision, know what will make life feel meaningful, Engage in their personal purpose. Benefit others, through social action, volunteering, leadership, social enterprise and community building.

Building community

Communities are safe and welcoming to young people, creating opportunities for them to be heard and make a contribution through: Connecting young people with mentors, connecting young people with local groups and services & intergenerational work
