Christmas gift for Spark!

Christmas gift for Spark!

We're delighted that Spark has been nominated and chosen to receive a share of the proceeds from a charity Christmas puzzle!

"Gordon’s Christmas Puzzle" has been raising money for charities for nearly 30 years.  Organiser Gordon Gray sets an annual puzzle and collects donations from those who take part.

"Every year since 1991 I have set a Christmas Puzzle whose total income could, this year, exceed £100k.  Since 1991, donations from the Puzzle have been made to around 80 charities. Currently, the Puzzle raises about £7,500 per year and supports five charities, each nominated by those who submit entries.  The Puzzle is challenging (those who enter have around 7 weeks to complete it) but it is designed to be solvable as, once progress is made, more information becomes available."

This year, the proceeds of the Christmas Puzzle will be distributed to:

  • Spark (Worth Unlimited Loughton)
  • Hearing dogs for deaf people
  • Home for good
  • Mozambique Orphanage
  • St Mary’s Church, Eaton Bray
If you'd like to take part, you'll be pitting your wits against puzzlers from all over the world.  Gordon tells us, "The Puzzle attracts entries from as far afield as Australia and New Zealand, including an entry from a team of French and Swedish speakers for whom English is not their first language – they scored full marks two years ago."

When the Puzzle goes ‘live’ on 8th December, you can download it here: www.christmaspuzzle.uk
If you'd like to register early and be sent a copy directly, enter your details at: www.get.christmaspuzzle.co.uk

Thanks for puzzling for Spark!
